Easter baskets are tricky for me because I hate "stuff". Last year I skipped the basket and got John a slide. I am still a fan of going big instead of tons of little, but this year I feel like I need to start the tradition of a real Easter Basket. So I am on a mission to get small(basket ready) but intentional Easter gifts.
Here is my Amazon list of Easter Basket ideas for my John (2.5) that won’t end up in the trash or causing a sugar high.
Stacking Rainbow Toy:
John is very into colors right now and this toy let’s him use color in building. If you follow me on Instagram you know about my son’s “black rainbow” art, so maybe this is also a nudge to get brighter and lighter :)
Bonus:This is one of those toys I won’t mind being left out in the living room when company comes over.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom:
My son is in love with the animated version of this book. I cannot wait to see his face when he sees it in board book form. This might just replace “Brown Bear Brown Bear” as the favorite read aloud in our house.
This one was suggested by John’s speech teacher. A little incentive to listen and repeat. The echo makes it a little more bearable than a karaoke machine and really I will buy anything to help our practice of full sentences.
These self-inking style stamps are our favorites and I am super happy they fit in eggs! We don’t quite need 50 so we will happily share with our cousins and community Easter egg hunt. John loves creating collages with these stamps and I love how relatively clean the! are. Winning all around!
That’s it. Short and simple. Now fingers crossed the Grandparents don’t get buckets of candy. If they do, they are babysitting :)
